A Roopu of Maori Agribusiness and Halal counterparts and experts obtained MABx funding from MPI for a project to create a platform or opportunities for key MABs and Halal stakeholders to determine the feasibility and desirability of creating a Maori Tikanga and Halal Trading Platform to build relations between MABs and the Halal counterparts and to foster trading relations based on the tikanga of the two potential trading partners.

The main aims of the Phase 2 of this project are to develop, a tikanga Halal Ethics code and the Authentication of Tikanga Practice Framework, to underpin the development of the Trading Platform.
