Ngā Tohu o Tai-o-Rongo, in collaboration with the whānau at Ātihau Whanganui Awhi Farms, sought to address two important research questions:

  1. How do we build capacity and capability to preserve and reignite Māori ancestral knowledge systems and practices for understanding our natural world in our Māori agribusiness landscapes; and
  2. How do we transform the way we do Māori agribusiness in a way that puts our ancestral knowledge systems at the heart of the way we interact and work with te taiao, including our land use and land management decisions?

The report sets out how this rangahau was approached, and the insights and momentum achieved through this kaupapa.
