OrNV pilot releases 2021-23: Solomon Islands and Vanuatu

Pilot releases using test strains of Oryctes nudivirus (OrNV) were conducted against coconut rhinoceros beetle (CRB) at selected locations in Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. The releases tested the logistics and methods needed to release OrNV successfully. This report describes the methods used in each country, the timing, frequency and location of releases, and the outcomes so far.
