Expert elicited potential economic costs of selected pests and pathogens for the kiwifruit industry

This short report summarises some of the results from an expert elicitation process to estimate parameters for a surveillance optimisation model for the kiwifruit industry. The process involved 11 experts nominated by the kiwifruit industry, and elicited values for 126 parameters. This report details the results for seven parameters pertaining to potential economic costs of selected exotic pests and pathogens affecting kiwifruit, should these establish in New Zealand.
