The work undertaken in this project provides Tasman District Council with a foundation for which the physiographic approach can be applied within the region. The physiographic approach has a range of applications including assisting Tasman District Council to effectively manage and improve the quality of freshwater resources as required under the NPS-Freshwater Management. The primary aim of this project was to identify the effort required for application of the physiographic approach in the Tasman Region. This report has been prepared by Land and Water Scie Land and Water Science Report 2018/04nce Ltd., on behalf of the Waterways Centre for Freshwater Management, for Tasman District Council, through an Envirolink Small Advice Grant.
