This report provides answers to eleven questions raised by the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council. The questions concern the potential impact of the widespread flooding and landslides caused by Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023 on the spread of Chilean needle grass (CNG) (Nassella neesiana) within and beyond the region. Published data and simulation modelling were used to answer the questions.
