This presentation was winner of the People's Choice Award at the New Zealand Hydrological Society Conference 2020. I am a freshwater ecologist and science communicator interested in freshwater ecosystem health restoration and fish passage. I am currently working on the "National Register of Land Management Actions" project as part of the National Science Challenge 'Our Land & Water'. This project aims to set up an online tool to record and report the many actions that managers have done on land to improve water quality. My research on this project contributes to my PhD in science communication which assesses the effectiveness of online storytelling as a tool to raise awareness on land management actions that help improve water quality.
