SWIFT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Impact and Feasibility Tool) is designed to support discussions that enable collective action groups (CAGs) to tackle complex environmental challenges. SWIFT can provide a framework for discussion amongst funders, CAGs, extensionists and individuals. SWIFT has been designed to facilitate discussions on:
Designing funding that supports environmental and/or land use changes through CAGs
Establishing or improving CAGs' structure and focus to increase likelihood of securing funding
Strategically writing funding proposals to increase likelihood of success
SWIFT was designed based on qualitative research insights drawn from funding recipients, funding providers and councils from Aotearoa New Zealand.
