Farmers are keen to understand the changing climate at a granular, local level and initiated this project looking at adaptation in mid-Canterbury. Farmers said it makes good business sense to understand what is coming so they can futureproof their business. This article summarises the results of a Rural Professionals Fund project that aimed to improve farmers' knowledge of a changing climate and enhance their ability to apply that knowledge to action on-farm.
