New cell models to study the complexity of the human gut
Recent Riddet Institute PhD graduate Dr Alicia Barnett, who is based at AgResearch, has shown that co-culture models can be used to improve our understanding of how probiotic bacteria/food components and epithelial cells interact in the gastrointestinal tract.
