Metallic nanoparticle-based treatments recently have drawn attention because they can make textiles multifunctional, i.e. introduce various functionalities by a single treatment. In this work, multifunctional wool fabrics were produced by treating with silver (Ag) nanoparticles. The study of the effect of various processing parameters including Ag concentration, reducing agent concentration, pH, temperature and time on the colour strength, antibacterial and antistatic properties, UV radiation absorption and other physical properties have been systematically carried out.
