Clostridium botulinum-like FP5 was isolated from vacuum-packaged refrigerated spoiled venison. This is a Gram-positive, rod-shaped, spore-forming and slow-growing obligate anaerobic bacterium. Here we describe the draft genome sequence of Clostridium botulinum-like FP5.
