This national quality assurance framework will support community and CBM groups to collect freshwater data of a known quality that are ‘fit for purpose’.

The framework will also help to increase the visibility and use of the data in freshwater management. The framework focuses on monitoring of stream health and is built around an initial set of 28 indicators. The framework provides an electronic monitoring and quality plan template, guidance document, electronic field form templates and a supporting background report.

Funding

Funded by the New Zealand Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment’s Our Land and Water National Science Challenge (Toitū te Whenua, Toiora te Wai), as part of the project Monitoring Freshwater Improvement Actions
