<p>Foods can have psychological and cognitive benefits via the gut brain axis.</p><p>We are developing an in vitro model of the gut brain axis:</p><ul><li>Stage 1: Intestinal model</li><li>Stage 2: Blood brain barrier model </li><li>Stage 3: Neuronal model</li></ul><p>This model can be used to:</p><ul><li>Screen ingredients to inform human studies</li><li>Understand the mechanisms of action by which food ingredients benefit cognition</li></ul>
