We are developing an in vitro model of the gut brain axis:
- Stage 1: Intestinal model
- Stage 2: Blood brain barrier model
- Stage 3: Neuronal model
This model can be used to:
- Screen ingredients to inform human studies
- Understand the mechanisms of action by which food ingredients benefit cognition
