Entomopathogenic fungi play an important role in natural biological control agents for many arthropods species for its behavior as epizootic that significantly decrease host populations. The role of fungi in regulating the insect population was noticed since ancient time and the study as biological control agents will be stated in this chapter, by description of works made by several diligent naturalists and scientific. Likewise, the mechanism of action is described and a view of current commercial production in Colombia, showing several examples of the successful use of entomopathogens, including two cases led by Corpoica. Although the use of entomoptahogenic fungus is considered as a strategy that has been successful in several scenarios, the production and use also presents several bottlenecks that are described in this chapter and that must be taken into account to correct or minimize them in order to ensure success in a campaign of management of the target insect.
